I was wondering if Butch was having trouble getting around still
and I bet the permit thing is just one more thing to deal with. My
guess is that the caches are probably still there.
Barb Wilson sent a note to everyone with a caches in state parks, (and to
a few with cache not in state parks!) The note did not request anyone to
archive their caches but it was just a reminder that permits are
needed. Here is the note.

It appears that Butch who had the best caches in MO (IMHO) has archived all of his caches. That is bad news for those who didn't get to do them, but good news for someone who can hide new caches in those areas so they can be found again.
I'm not sure why other state park caches are being archived, but maybe the permit requirement may cause some apprehension for folks to place new ones. Just a guess.
I'm thinking we should vote Hairy Hillbilly to place caches in the areas vacated by Butch caches!! Or Know Future!!

I just noticed that Wildcat Mountain, and Devil's Tollgate has been archived. Not too long ago, MO's highest cache had been archived, and before I had a chance to do it, Mina Sauk Falls had been archived...
Does anyone know the story why all the good State Park caches are going out? Taum Sauk Mtn is my favorite hiking area, and it's a shame to see the caches in that area leave.
