Anyone reading this announcement in the freelist newsgroup is encouraged to
repost to their local forums.
I thought i had more time to prepare for a smooth transition but the last 8 or
9 months passed by in a flash.
It is with great sadness that I have to report that the Groundspeak reviewer
known as Reviewer of the Cache has been found to have . . .
no, that does not sound right.
Take Two:
We are gathered here today. . . no, wrong speech.
Well, she has um. . . (oops, best not tell that naughty bit)
Bottom line is that RotC may be reassigned in the near future to a high
calling. Hopefully the legal issues. . . (rats, shouldn't have said that.
Never mind that last bit)
I have convinced the powers that be and other officials to allow RotC the use
of a computer to continue to help me with reviewing and getting another
reviewer up to speed on Missouri stuff before moving on. Rest assured that my
new helper is a veteran reviewer and comes with plenty of experience doing this
sort of work. I will not be teaching them how to review caches, just what the
Missouri quirks are. Their job will continue to be helping me with stuff and
doing all the stuff I don't like doing. :-) (when they get here, don't tell
them I said that, mums the word)
When I find out just who my new helper will be I'll let everyone know. I
really don't expect that much will be different. I will continue to oversee and
double check their work just as I have with RotC. We will more than likely
continue to use the same notes that we use now and everything will be about
the same. No sense reinventing the wheel as they say.
