This can happen any time valuables are left in plain view, it doesn't matter
which park your leave your vehicle. Thieves walk parking lots and look for
these situations. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming the out of town
cachers, we are all guilty of leaving items out in plain view from time to
time. Most of the time, nothing happens, but sometimes bad luck strikes.
Remember if your are going to be away from your vehicle, make sure to remove
items from plain view.
Don't blame the park, just be careful anytime you leave a car unattended for
long periods of time. If you can walk up to your car and see items worth
stealing so can a thief. It's a shame it's like that, but it is just the
times we live in. Every time you drive through Forest Park and see a big
pile of broken glass near the curb, someone had their car broken into.
