Previously the Alton Telegraph was very interested in doing a story about some
unusual photos that I took around Alton. Well, they were until I told them
lived in Ballwin, MO.

Local newspapers are mostly territorial. For example, the Alton Telegraph
and The Belleville News Democrat generally do not overlap on their stories.
The journalist I met does local type of stories that would be of interest to
Alton, I believe. I suppose it could also be someone who has cached
extensively in the Alton area.
I will try to find out what the requirements for a story would be.

At my college reunion this past weekend, I found out one of my college
friend's wife is a journalist with the Alton Telegraph. Of course I told her
(and everyone else) about my fun with geocaching. She might be interested in
doing an article if I can put her in touch with a geocacher in the Alton
area.
Can anyone recommend someone (or themselves) who would be willing to be
contacted about this and who can represent the sport in a positive light?
