OK, I doubt that it can be used for any other purpose. The
PlexTalk also has a two-piece charger. There probably was a time
when companies that them necessary. I think it's similar to the
use before that of these heavy, square or rectangular
transformers which plugged into the wall. They're still used,
but they're must smaller and lighter. Maybe "only the Shadow
knows!"
