Jerry from the NE list does have a very good point, and I was trying to use NE
from BrailleNote’s GPS before I even grabbed the qstarz from my apex. how could
I know if my touches receiver is working or not, because it wasn’t working with
NE.

Curiosity question though. It should be able to work with the internal GPS
receiver on the touch because it says in the specs it is a post to have one.
So you might ask him aware about that.

the following steps are taken, BrailleNote Touch and Nearby Explorer are
finally compatible and work relatively well. Some street name in the program
are not correct, for example DR is written Doctor for multiple streets in my
Chicago suburb.
1. Pair your external GPS receiver. Enter code 0000 on the touch if you have
to enter a code.
2. Search google play store for bluetooth gps and download the free
application, the 1st one that comes up should be fine.
3. Enable developer options on touch by going into the settings and locating
the version number and tapping the cursor routing buttons 14 times (a
sighted user would tap 7 times) Enable mock locations from the new area of
your settings screen that appears called developer options.
4. In this order, open the bluetooth gps app from the all applications
screen, allow mock locations on that screen, scroll down to the list of
receivers and pair yours. You will have an indication that it is paired.
5. Go to your recent apps (Space with 2,3,5) and close bluetooth gps.
6. Open nearby explorer. Your provider should switch within seconds from
virtual or network to gps and you don’t need network functionality as far as
I have seen. .
