It's only my personal opinion, but I would think it would be ok to change the font if it is too big for JAWS to read. After all that is often what people are reading books with in the end if they read the daisy version, and the BRF version wouldn't retain anything about font size anyway. What I would be careful of would be changing the font style. Having italicized and bolded text can be very hehlpful, and sometimes even important. When I find extremely huge text in a book I reduce it in size a little. I've never had a problem with JAWS reading text under 30 point, so I reduce it to something like 26. If someone has had problems with that size font please let me know. Does it have any effect on the book if I change the font for the entire book? I'm currently validating a book that uses a few different fonts. The problem is, Jaws doesn't read some of them and I'm unable to read chapter headings, etc. I changed the font for the whole book and that solved the problem. I didn't save it because I wasn't sure if it was okay to do this. Can I change the font? Will that affect translation or anything? And does it matter what font a book is in for the translation program to pick up on the text? Lisa
