I apologize for saying that I hadn't done the tab elimination process, because I actually did on the last book I validated; but it was nearly a week ago, and I didn't remember it when I wrote that. The reason I thought to look for and eliminate them is because my Pacc Mate ran the page numbers in the Table of Contents into the titles, and I brought the document into Word to look at it and noticed them.

Don't read what I say, read what I *mean*. <lol>
What kind of nonsense is that?

Don't mind me, I have a truly excellent book to scan this afternoon - I won't say what it is, I want it to be a surprise. I will just say that it is a major Science Fiction work by someone well-represented on Bookshare, and very popular, but this one is not here. So I'm going put OpenBook into Batch Mode, put on some really great music from one of the Internet radio stations I love, and I'll be in hog heaven. Also, the publisher says that the book has been reset in a font designed for easy reading, and from a couple of test scans, the text is coming out really well.

Take care.

Hi Evan,
Yes, the braille translator does create an indented paragraph when it sees a
line break. It might be good to search your books for tab characters and
replace them all with a space, since the Daisy conversion seems to eat them
and leave nothing which can cause things that were separated by tabs to be
run together.
