Well... maybe it is just your library. I have returned a few books that
needed attention, but they weren't because of me, and I usually let them
know that when I return them.

I have one here, where the glue on the spine has worn out and therefore the
spine came off the book, it is a bit hard to scan and keep the spine in
tact, but this was an inter library loan and the library will be able to fix
it. I am including a note though.

I also donate books to the library and usually my books do come out even if
I don't press too hard on them.

But... yep, I feel pretty guilty sometimes.

I had to return This Heart of Mine by bertrice Small without scanning it, as
the pages were falling out, they had been when I borrowed the book.

They know I care for the books and love them, smile, I have been a patron
there for well, since middle school so that is over ten years.

I do also donate funds for the new books funds and also paperback and
hardcover for their book sales. And I am working on a volunteer project
creating curriculum materials for their children's library.

The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to
stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs.
