Sounds like she set her computer up to automatically send this reply any
time she receives a message.  It wouldn't be the first time someone on the
list did that.  We're just fortunate the list is quiet right now.

I know it's probably a rhetorical question, but  ...
My guess is that she's happy and inadvertently held
her finger on the send button too long. Or
inadvertently tapped it twice. That happens to the
best of us sometimes, I think. (smile). Or, being an
absent-minded professor in the throes of packing and
moving, she didn't remember whether she'd sent it to
bksvol or only sent it to bookshare. She's not old
enough to have senior moments yet, but having to pack
up years of belongings, books,papers, etc. (have you
seen her bibliography? Having forgotten her exact
position at Wellesley I looked her up on google.
There's a picture as well as a resume. )

God luck with the move, Adrienne. BTW, are you in any
way related to Sholem Asch?
