Hi Jill,
It's a Kurzweil bug. I think Shelley was the original poster of this fix
but I could be wrong.

This came up on the Kurzweil list a few weeks back. I looked but didn't keep
Stephen's response on that particular topic. Basically he said that he thought
the bug had been taken care of, but possibly not. He went on to discuss that is
a difficult bug to track and fix because virtually everything out there,
WordPad, Word, etc. think the RTF files are valid; BookShare is the only
software that seems to have this issue. Given this, I would have to agree with
him that it would be hard to make sure the problem is found and corrected.

Thank you Jake; believe me I saved it this time. Is this due to a flaw in
Kurzweil and who in the world ever came up with the solution?

    HI Jill,
Obviously this is something I should add to my website since so many
people repeatedly ask it. (not to pick on you)

Open the file in another word processer, type a space, press backspace to
erase that space and save the file.

You should be good to go, *grin*

    HTH,
    Jake

I know this has been discussed before and I apologize for apparently not
saving the information. I validate in Kurzweil, always worked with the book in
RTF yet got the Invalid RTF file notice. Will someone please remind me what I
should do?
