Hi, Sarah! Very well put. <Smile> To add to your comments, someone posted a message earlier to the effect that they almost rejected a book because the author's name was incorrect on the title page. Please feel free to make this correction if you can locate the name of the author, the correct title, copyright date, etc. And forgive me if I've misunderstood... It's been a long week! <Smile> Take care!

Jana

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] clarifications

A couple recent messages have indicated that people might be a little confused about how the validation process works.

One person said they had to delete something in the book they downloaded for validation before releasing it. That is not necessary, since if you remember how the releasing process works, you will remember that you don't upload anything. When you release a book the original file that was submitted just goes back in the validation pool.

Another person said they had just validated something but had not gotten the credit. The credit for validation doesn't appear immediately after you get the page thanking you for your work. There is still hope that you will get credit. Now if the book can now be found in the collection and you still didn't get credit, either something is messed up or a different copy of the book validated by someone else was accepted first.
