If I am understanding Kim's situation, there are not really two sets of
numbers.
I proofread in Word, and whenever a page break occurs, Word states a page
number--really a page count. This count includes all pages identified with
page breaks.
For example, the book I am currently scanning has ten preliminary pages,
several pages of praise for the book, a title page, a dedication, a Table of
Contents, etc.
After the preliminary pages, the book actually begins with Arabic page 1.
Word will say page 11, but there is no page 11 actually written in the text,
only the Arabic 1 is in the book.
I'm not sure if that is what Kim is describing, but it sounds like the
situation.
