John and Scott,Here is a perfect example of the difficulty with navigating this online manual. When John said that the manual states that if the publisher is not shown on the first page the book would be rejected, I out of curiosity attempted to find the reference. I spent far more than five minutes searching through links to find that information and finally simply gave up. There should be a search box (or however you wish to phrase it) that would enable a user to find a word in the manual. I could have searched for {"publisher". I could not find what John was referring to, and then I could not easily get back to the section on what causes a book to be rejected in case the information was in that section. John, I was curious to find the reference because I have never shown the publisher on the first page of a book I have proofread, and I have never had a book rejected for not doing so. So if this is a new requirement, I sure want to find it tomorrow, but for now I'm frustrated and tired and done for the day! But now you have a real life example!

That's why I asked. The manual also states that if the publisher isn't on the first page the proof would be rejected. -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lori Castner Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 10:29 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Question regarding my first proof Are you saying that we should copy the material from page 2 and move it topage 1? Why would we do that? doing so would change the pagination of thebook, which the manual states not to do. The material should definitely be included, but shouldn't it stay where it belongs? Yes, it should be copied and included. It is found on page two. Should I copy and paste it on to page one as well? Thanks!
