First of all, glad you survived the accident. I know it must have been quite
scary at the time though.
I wouldn’t want to read in computer braille, although I certainly could. When I
read for leisure, I want Grade 2 braille.

Evan and all,
I tried the Word format option for getting a book. The book came a couple of
hours later with an email attachment with a link. It worked well. I use a
Braille Edge from Hims which is a 40-character display and so I requested the
book come in that format. I requested computer braille.
One other thing. Does anyone know whether Farar, Straus and Giroux is sending
books to Bookshare? It seems to me that for a while they were and that maybe
now they aren’t. I ask because Several of their recent books are not showing up
on Bookshare.
While the bottom of my email boasts of my tandem biking prowess, my partner and
I were in a serious accident recently. I’m in one piece with abrasions which
are sort of like burns from being dragged with the bike over the ground (I
being in clipped pedals) but my partner has one pelvic bone that is partly
fractured. So be careful out there. It’s the other driver that is the problem!
One funny thing though. We were both knocked out and while in that state
numerous tests were done on our brains and bodies. I’m age 71 and he’s age 69.
I recently played with the iOS app Seeing Eye AI which can judge the age and
other attributes of a person at whom you point the iPhone camera.
When I pointed at me, the older one, it said Man age 61, neutral. When I
pointed the camera at him, the younger one, it said: man, age 71, happy.
Here’s the funny or ironic part. The tests done on us reveal that internally,
I’m older than he is in that I have some of the aspect of an aging body. So,
don’t judge a book by its cover! I hope the above wasn’t confusing!

Hey Guys,
Just downloaded four books this morning and was happy to discover that
paragraph indents have been restored in brf files.
The most recent book I got previously, on October 13, was still missing them,
so presumably something happened between October 13 and today.
I hope Amanda will shed some light if she can when she gets this.
