I agree with Allison, you can also read with either Braille or speech if you have the PACMate with the Braille display. it's not to heavy, and you can do so many things, and it's only one piece of equipment to carry around. As Allison says, it does have it's drawbacks, but most of those are Pocket pc issues, not the fault of the PACMate. -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Allison Mervis Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 2005 6:42 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: PackMate? I personally love the Pacmate. It has its drawbacks. Not all websites will display properly in pocket Internet Explorer, but you can use FSEdit to read pocket word files, as well as any other kind of standard text or Braille file. They make a bookshare unpack tool for the PM as well. I like it because of it's portability, and the ability to enter data in Braille, which you could do with any notetaker theoretically. Just my thoughts. Allison
