I think back to the time that I was reading more books than I ever had in
my
life and more than I have since. That was in 1988 right after I became
blind. I was totally unprepared for that blindness, but I did register to
become a patron of the NLS just before it hit me full force. For pretty
much
the rest of that year. I did nothing but listen to talking books and keep
medical appointments. I did not even stop for meals. I just let the
talking
book player continue to play right through the meals. The only thing I
stopped for was sleep and medical appointments. I frequently finished as
much as a book a day. If they were short books I would make it through
almost two books in a day. I don't recall getting through as many as two
books in one day, but I suppose I might have one or two times. The limit
of
downloads from Bookshare is 100 a month and can be increased to 300. That
works out to about ten books a day. Even during that reading marathon
right
after I went blind I never even came close to reading ten books a day. If
300 books a month is not enough for you then what in blue blazes are you
doing with them?

I say this for one reason.
By no means can I read all of the books that I download all at once but
wow
there are so many new books being posted all the time that if I do not
write
down all of the ones that seem interesting to me I am simply going to
forget
them and it would be so awesome if we had the choice to be able to
download
an unlimited numberr.
I would even suggest paying 100 dollars a year if that would help those
of
us who wanted to get unlimited downloads.
I simply find so many things I want to read that I always reach the limit
of
what I can download and granted I can't read all of these books right
away
by any means but it would be awesome to be able to just get what I wanted
to
have them for whenver I wanted to read them.
Just an idea.
