Dear Cindy and Booksharian Friends,
Cindy, that books by mail library service is great, isn’t it? We have it in
Akron Ohio, too and use it as a source of books to scan as if we needed more.
Sometimes, though, you just have to have a certain book and the library saves
money.
Here’s a point of interest. Today I got a Box O Books request from Paperback
Swap for 4 of my large print books. While going through the requestor’s
bookshelf to find books she has which Bookshare doesn’t I noticed that none of
her books were large print. Via personal messaging I learned that she was
asking for them for a friend who is 104 years old who can still see regular
print but for whom large print is much easier. Isn’t that something?
I did tell her about Bookshare. I tell everyone with whom I swap.
Always with love,
Lissi

My county library has a nice Books by Mail feature for which I do qualify;
I've recently finished a Clive Cussler book I enjoyed and have just ordered a
different one;the initial loan period is 3 weeks and books can be renewed 4
times as long as no one else wants them; plus this facility has a library on
the premises from which one can take books, return them when one is finished
with them and donate others; I'm reading a delightful Nancy Mitford book from
there; so I have plenty of reading material; now I have to get back to work
proofing smile; I just found out ( because I got my Voter registration card
with my new address that there isn't going to be a presidential election this
year. DRAt! sigh
love to you all,Cindy
