There obviously must be a way because Bookshare knows how many books we have
downloaded each month and also has the list of most popular books in terms
of how often they are downloaded. Jill

Jim,

I mean once the book is actually in the collection.

Hi,
The only way I know to count the times a book has
been downloaded is look
at the page that comes up when you are about to
download it and count the
times it has been edited.

When I was younger, if I started a book,
particularly
one that was recommended or that was a classic or
that
I thought I ought to read, continued even if I
wasn't
enjoying it. Now, however, I feel time is too short
and there are too many books I want to read, so if
I'm
not enjoying it, I stop and go on to something else.
That's my own reading, of course--not validating.
When
I validate I keep going, unless it's too technical
and
long and boring to me, and then I just do an
eye-scan
of each page and a spell-check and put my name and
email address in the long synopsis so that if
anything
further needs to be done I can be contacted. There
have only been two books that I've done that with.

Is there a way that one can find out how many times
a
particular book has been downloaded, if at all?
