Hi everyone,It is starting to sound to me as though page numbers are not preserved whether opening either daisy books, or brf books using Kurzweil. Tracy, you got accurate page numbers in the brf file of a book. Will you tell us, please, what you are using to read the brf file, so that we can try to figure out where the trouble is?
This keeps coming up, and I am very frustrated. Page numbers are important. Somebody's processing tools are messing things up. I never got a straight answer as to why Kurzweil 1000 doesn't display page numbers in daisy books downloaded from Bookshare. And now, it sounds as though the brf files have the same problem when opened in Kurzweil.
I love Kurzweil, work with it all the time, so please, don't think I'm bashing it. I just want someone to take responsibility for the missing page numbers, either Bookshare, or Kurzweil.
Do any of you techies out there know why this happens? I really, really hope that someone has the answers. I love volunteering for Bookshare, and try to do the best work that I know how to do, but losing page numbers, when I go to a lot of trouble to preserve them is very disheartening.
Peace, Mayrie
