Colleagues, Some of you may be interested in the following announcement by Kurzweil Educational. Pratik Pratik Patel Interim Director Office of Special Services Queens College Director CUNY Assistive Technology Services The City University of New York ppatel@xxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: k1000-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:k1000-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Stephen Baum Sent: Thursday, December 23, 2004 10:55 AM To: k1000@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Project Gutenberg Patch We have just released a small patch to adjust for the fact that Project Gutenberg has changed the location and format of their repository database. This patch is available through the Online Update mechanism, as long as you have K1000 at version 9.02, or 8.02. As always, use the Online Update menu item, select "Project Gutenberg" from the list of patches, press enter, and wait for the download to complete. Once it has completed, exit from the Kurzweil 1000, wait for the patch to automatically get applied, and then run the K1000 again. You can also download it directly from our FTP site if you'd prefer. Its at: ftp://ftp.kurzweiledu.com/pub/kurzweil1000/version90/patches/ and the file name is gutenfix.exe Download it into any folder you wish on your hard drive, and then run it, being sure that the Kurzweil 1000 is NOT active. You can delete the patch if you wish after you have run it.
