Hi Evan,

I'd recommend waiting a few days to see if Evolutionary Void pops into the 
collection after its release on 8/24. Sometimes books do, sometimes they don't. 
We can't tell ahead of time, or I'd let you know. Looks like it's already been 
released in Europe.

What I would be interested in knowing is whether  these publishers are sending 
their new books to Bookshare when they are  released, or is that more of a 
hit-or-miss type of thing. There is a book coming  out from Del Rey on August 
24 
that I really, really want to read. (Did I  say "really"?) I mean REALLY! It is 
the third installment of Peter F.  Hamilton's Void trilogy. I already have a 
proofreader lined up for it,  (that is, someone else who wants to read my scan 
after I finish reading through  it. It's the same proofreader who read the 
first 
two volumes after I scanned  them. We agreed last year to do the final book 
together when it came out.)  I suppose I should just wait and see if it comes 
up 
that day, or shortly  thereafter. But if it doesn't, then I'm going to scan it 
and just take my lumps  when it gets replaced. At least I will have gotten to 
read it soon after it  comes out, rather than waiting on the publisher to get 
around to sending it over  and not knowing when that might happen.
 
On the other hand, if new books are coming in to Bookshare on a pretty  
reliable 
basis as they are published in their traditional paper form, then I'll  do my 
best to curb my impatience, although it won't be easy in this particular  case.
