This is a interesting title. Sometimes the best things happen by accident. Of course the opposite is true too. Should be an easy proof.

 Long Synopsis:
Everyone makes mistakes. It's only human. Some mistakes are minor and don't really affect anyone but the people who made them: *Several convicts once managed to tunnel out of prison-but emerged in a nearby courtroom! Other mistakes are so extraordinary they change the course of history: *The New World was discovered by an explorer who was trying to reach the Far East. or affect thousands of lives: *A radio broadcast about invading Martians caused nationwide panic because many listeners did not realize it was only a play. or cause a great deal of harm or good: The current invasion of gypsy moths is due to a failed experiment and a gust of wind. Why do people err? Noted science writer Laurence Pringle explores some common causes of human error, and presents all kinds of great and not-so-great mistakes. With gentle humor, he shows how these failings reveal some of the worst and best aspects-and the humanness-of human nature. "The Earth Is Flat"-and Other Great Mistakes is a perfect blend of fact and fun.
