I don't think I would mark it as adult either. As for the difference between "some" and "explicit", that is a judgment call, so it involves a little subjectivity. It's been a while, so I don't remember exact titles, but I've seen some NLS books marked "some" that seemed rather explicit to me, and some marked "explicit" where I was wondering where that was supposed to have occurred. It would be interesting to know if there's a written procedure for that kind of rating, <smile>, what counts as "explicit" and what only rates as "some". It might make for interesting reading. <grin>

Normally I dislike that so much of the "Adult Fiction" is for junior and senior high readers. Some ofthe other books say "explicit descriptions of sex, violence, and strong language." Ok. But read the description of this one. If it were beingscanned into Bookshare would it be marked Adult Content because of the sexand violence? "Copper Sunday by Sharon Draper, 2 volumes. Amari is taken from her African village when she is fifteen and sold to a southern plantation owner in America. Amari and Polly, a white indentured servant, risk everything to escape. Descriptions of sex and violence. For senior highand older readers. Coretta Scott King Award. 2006." And what makes the difference of descriptions of vs. explicit?????
