Hi Gail,

Very often I experience what you are talking about. Sometimes the single digit numbers just don't show up in the scanfor some reason. If the rest of the book has page numbers you can just put them in. I don't know, but I think the OCR software doesn't recognize numbers until they are double digits, it thinks they are junk, or just doesn't see them. I just insert the page numbers. This often happens when chapter headings are only numbers too. That, can be a royal pain. If you run across that, missing chapter numbers, let us know, and I'll tell you how I figure out where to put them. Otherwise, I'll not rattle on unnecessarily.

Hope this has helped a little bit. Just one of those things that happens. Kind of like, well, rain when the sun is out.

 Peace,
Mayrie

Hi,

I'm validating the following Book:

A Dog
Named Chips
by Albert Payson Terhune

I'm curious why this book doesn't list any page numbers before page 8.
The scanning is excellent.
