With good atomization, mixing, and a torch igniter one would think it might
not be that bad.

The Flometrics guys experimentally burned some B100 biodiesel in an LR-101 (Atlas vernier) a few years back, and reported no ignition problems. It does have a rather higher flash point than RP-1, so it's reasonable to think it would be harder to ignite, but a pure-oxygen environment makes ignition of almost anything a whole lot easier.
