Hi Geoffrey As already evident in the list, there is quite a lot of interest in the ExMerge uses. All the same, I will chart out the rapid route for you and then you can research other uses and abilities of this little utility later. You will find exmerge on the Exchange 2K CD (just conduct a quick search of the the stem exmerge) I copied the thing into my ..\program files\exchsrvr\bin for ease of access. At the most basic level, which is what you probably need at this stage, run exmerge, select to extract data from mailbox in two stage process, point it at the Exchange2K server and the AD server. Once it connects to the mail store, it will list out the mailboxes. Pick the mail box you want and voila. The default setting will extract all user folders and items (messages, calendar, tasks). Note the folder location or change to your own folder. For further uses, their are interesting discussion going on now between Mark Fugatt and co. There is also a paper that accompanies the thing on the CD. ak -----Original Message----- From: Godfrey Masanja [mailto:gmasanja@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 10 July 2003 17:01 To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: forwarding http://www.MSExchange.org/ Thank Anthony; Can that be run on the client PC,2) do I need to change anything in the .ini file , please help how to have it run in my environment (installation) as am unable to follow due to the fact that managers want others things here to be done soon. -----Original Message----- From: Anthony Kariuki [mailto:a.kariuki@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, July 10, 2003 4:02 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: forwarding http://www.MSExchange.org/ I will assume you have already configured delivery options to forward all incoming email to his new address. This will work for any NEW email. For the old email still in the mailbox, you are stuck with (a) giving the guy POP or OWA access into the mailbox so he can get what he wants himself or (b) use ExMerge to export his mailbox into a .pst file that you can then send this new address. ak -----Original Message----- From: Godfrey Masanja [mailto:gmasanja@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 10 July 2003 15:40 To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] forwarding http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi All; How can I forward the emails existing into a mail box for a user who has moved to a new company and he would like all of the unread emails to be forwarded to the current email address.
