here is an example php program. all you have to do is get a php site working
and edit the code for your environment.

open up the attached doc and modify all the lines that say [edit] so that they
match your ad structure and information. Then remove the text "[edit]" from
the code and run it.

to run the phpcode you want to put in the uid of the user your requesting info
on, where the user_id is the beginning part of the users email address.

for instance.

http://myphpbox.test.com/ldap_exchange.php?uid=username

This is just simple code modified from the www.php.net examples. Once you
figure out how to do php you will easily be able to make more elaborate calls
to the directory.

Subject: [exchangelist] custom contact list

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi guys,

I have been working on the project for couple of weeks
now and just seem to can't figure it out...

I have been asked by my CFO to setup Contact List in
Public folder so it would display company directory
with Names, Departments, phones etc. This way they
don't have to maintaine Excell list all the time.

Task seem to be very simple... Create Custom Address
list in Exchange, modify ADSI so it display all the
fields i need from AD and then move them in "Company
Directoy" public folder, so they would display like a
table in Excell.

Well... it's not that simple, or maybe i am just
missing the steps someware. I can't seems to copy my
custom address list or GAL for that matter to my
public folder.

Any idea on how this could be accomplished???

Thank you!
