Restore 5.5 into 2k???

Ok all here is the scenario.
I just left a client a couple hrs ago and both his HDD's are dead. In the
morning he is going to pick up new hdd's in which I will install win2k. He
had win2k with exch 5.5. I have had full backups running every day. My
question is if I get him to buy the exch 2k upgrade, is it easy or even
possible to restore the exchange store of exch5.5 into exch2k? As a side
note..although he had AD installed, he only had a couple of users. I was
just going to manually configure a AD structure after I install the OS. Any
suggestions. You guys are awesome.
