I believe you can make the account your backup software is using a
member of the "Exchange Admin" or Exchange Enterprise Admin" which
already have access to all mailboxes.

Subject: [exchangelist] Exchange 2k backup

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi,
I am using exchange 2k in a win2k domain enviroment. I am pressently
using
winnt backup utility with exchange.

It can backup everything that I slect except the mailboxes I get an
error
that says you do not have permissions.

So I need to create a backup admin account and what or how do I assign
it
permissions to access the mailboxes of users to back them up?
I have assigned it back operators group and dmian admins.

Any help much appreciated.
