On my 9.2.0.5 database running on a HP11.11 the JRE shows the following:
JRE -> /orcl/u01/app/oracle/jre/1.1.8

This location should have nothing to do with your ORACLE_HOME, this is
where you told the Oracle installer to put your jre when you were
installing.
