Hey guys,

Thanks! At least I know its something that I'm doing wrong, which is
good because I can do something about that :-)

My scenario is:

Co-located Exchange/Domain controller

ISA Server 2000 on Windows 2003 in front of the co-located
Exchange/domain controller

External WinXP1 SP1 client with the latest public technical refresh of
Outlook 2003.

I've assigned the certificates and enabled SSL to SSL bridging for the
Web Publishing Rule.

One thing I've noticed while studying up on this is that RPC over HTTP
scenarios seem to depend on a FE Exchange server accepting the HTTP/SSL
connection, then the FE makes the required connections to the BE via
MAPI and other non-HTTP encapsulated protocols. Could the tardiness be
related to the co-location of Exchange and the DC? I'd HATE to think it
was an ISA Server issue!!!

Thanks for any help. I'll keep banging my head against this scenario.
Until I figure it out, I'll do a detailed account of how to publish
Exchange OWA using ISA and how to enable SSL to SSL bridging for the
highest level of security and functionality!

Thanks!
Tom

Hi Mark,

I got it to work after installing the fix and the latest public
technical refresh. However it takes 5-10 minutes to log onto the
Exchange Server. From your experience, is this what the other beta
testers are finding?

Thanks!
Tom

Hi Mark,

Thanks! I was testing with SP1, but no patch. Installing the patch now.
Will update the group on my results.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

Does anyone know what would cause the Outlook 2003 client to disable the
RPC
over HTTP configuration option? No matter what I try, the option does
not
make itself available in the Exchange account configuration Properties
dialog box.

I searched Google and only found two entries related to this, but none
of
them mention the possibility that the option would be greyed out.

Thanks!
