Mobile Users - Exc2003 update

Just got off the phone with Microsoft (2 hours and 4 tekkies)and they have
confirmed that there is no support in Exchange2003 for mobile users other
than:
a: using OWA
b: using outlook2003 RPC
So if you have teleworkers using outlook 97-2002 (e.g. everyone as
office2003 is beta) forget upgrading to server 2003 in the forseable
future as it wont work. The only 'workaround' they can advise is a tedious
VPN solution which the means the user has to recreate the outlook profile
prior to each and every login.
So much for progress!
