I think the beta for RTC is now closed, and you cannot run the Exchange 2000
IM service on an Exchange 2003 box.

Reason why I asked,

I customer wants to know what would replace Netmeeting/ILS and
Sharepoint Team Services v1.0. They would like a pilot of the new
technology, is this possible, eventhough its hasn't been released yet? How
would I be able to get a copy of LCS (a.ka. RTC2003), if not would I be able
to setup Messenging on Exchange 2003 or do I have to wait for that too?

If you need Instant Messaging then you'll be needing RTC2003. Slated
for release end of September so I hear.

        Hi everyone,

I'm looking into the Office 2003 Beta 2 Sharepoint Team Services
Beta 2 (a.k.a Windows Sharepoint Services) and how to utilize Windows
Messenger to integrate with Office 2003 application and WSS. Will this be
possible with Exchange 2003 alone? or would I need Live Communications
Server 2003 (a.k.a RTC Server)?
