Subject: [exchangelist] FYI regarding GFI Mailessentials and W2k SP4

http://www.MSExchange.org/

This is straight from GFI's web site

Does GFI MailEssentials work with Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4)?

------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------
The information in this article applies to:
GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP 7
GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP 8

------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------

Article ID: KBID001688
Query keywords: service, windows
No - if Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4) is installed on a machine
running GFI MailEssentials, then GFI MailEssentials will not work.

However, on the week of 30th. June 2003 we will be uploading a new GFI
MailEssentials 8 build that supports SP4. GFI MailEssentials 7 does not
support SP4 and if customers want to install SP4, they would then need
to upgrade to GFI MailEssentials 8.
