what is the size of the shared_pool?
how many CPUs (both physical and logical) exist in the server (domain)?
Is this the same operating system and database software version as the
other post, which was Oracle 10g / RHEL 3.0 Update 2 / Lintel x86-64?
perhaps you have perfectly written SQL and there is no parsing taking
place whatsoever. :)
